Tomorrow we ride around the reservoir. Meet at nine at the station, thumbs up if you're in 👍

A secure messenger of the Pokecio community for Windows, Android and the web. Chats, voice notes, location sharing and channel news in one place, on our own server in the EU.
We tightened the server and the apps: limits on login attempts, link checks, a lock that can wipe data, and signed updates.
A new tab with a feed of posts, photos, comments and public channels. In alpha for now and Android only.
An explanation without technical words: a lock, a key, the server as a postman and what to do if you lose your phone.
Most chats run on someone else's servers and know more about their people than they should. PockyAPP runs on the Pokecio community server in the EU. We don't track, we don't sell and we show no ads.
Messages in encrypted chats are encrypted on your device. Only the person you send them to can read them. We can't, and nobody on the way can.
The foundation is the open Matrix protocol. Your account works in Element too and you can chat with people on other servers. You can leave any time and lose nothing.
element.io →Swipe to reply, add a reaction, edit or delete a message. Hold to record a voice note and see the real waveform. We strip the location data from photos before they leave your phone.
Posts from the channels you follow sit in a single list. Add up to six photos to a post, react and comment right in the list. Posts are ordinary messages, so people using Element see them too. Timeline is in alpha and Android-only for now.
Share a place exactly, within 500 metres, or just the city. Your phone rounds the approximate location itself. Live location runs for 15 minutes, an hour or 8 hours and you can stop it any time. Whoever shares with you shows up on the map.
The Windows version isn't a shrunken website. It has the chat list, gallery, map, notifications with quick reply and an app lock with a PIN or Windows Hello. On a tablet the list and chat sit side by side, and so do they in the web app.
Picture sending a letter in a locked box. Only the person you're writing to has the key. That's how encrypted chats in PockyAPP work.
The message is locked right on your phone, before it leaves.
It delivers the locked box but only sees scrambled characters. Neither it nor we can open it.
Their phone has the key, opens the box and shows the message.
