We rewrote PockyAPP from the ground up. The new version is built on the Matrix Rust SDK, the same foundation Element X uses, and it thinks about privacy from the very first line.
Encryption without setup
New chats and groups are end-to-end encrypted right away. You don’t have to turn anything on or know how it works. Messages are encrypted on the phone and the server sees only unreadable data.
Location your way
Send a place exactly, within 500 metres, or just as a city. Live location keeps running with the app closed until you end it. The maps aren’t from a big company, they come from our own map server.
On a tablet and without waiting for a store
On a tablet the chat list and the conversation sit side by side, with the chat info too on a wide display. A new version announces itself in the app, shows what’s new and installs with one tap. The beta also includes aura and statuses, which show who is online or typing. What others see of that is up to you.
